Would you like to supervise and specifically support children with a high degree of initiative and responsibility in their everyday school life under the best conditions? Do you enjoy helping German- and/or English-speaking children learn to read and write, and would you like to work in a progressive educational environment?
Then you’ve come to the right place. For our elementary school, the International Montessori School Berlin am Wannsee, we are looking for an
English-speaking Montessori teacher as a homeroom teacher (m/w/d)
(Grades 1-3)
Montessori & Friends Education gGmbH is an independent organization that currently operates seven Montessori children’s houses (daycare centers) in Berlin and Potsdam, as well as the International Montessori School in Berlin-Wannsee. Our goal is for the children entrusted to our care to live and learn with joy and interest, at their own pace and according to their own level of development. In doing so, we focus on the holistic development of the child. Diversity and inclusion are particularly important to us – both within our team and among the children. In our children’s houses, we offer a fully equipped and prepared environment in accordance with Montessori quality standards. We have over 20 years of experience and are constantly growing.
At IMS, we live and breathe Montessori education. The support we give the children, our daily structure, and the materials we use meet international standards. We are also international—and bilingual. Many of our students grow up in bilingual families. Our German- and English-speaking teachers work in small learning groups and communicate with the children using the language immersion method. This is how we design our school as a “place for kids to grow.” At IMS, over 120 children in grades 1-6 are currently learning in mixed-age groups.
